Security screening

The XDAS system provides fast dual-energy detection and data acquisition with excellent signal-to-noise. It can be applied both to X-ray linescan and CT systems.

Food inspection and analysis

Food inspection will normally use a linear array such as LINX with a fine pitch array, providing detection across a belt transporting food packages. X-rays are effective at detecting both metallic and non-metallic contaminants such as glass.

Sorting

There is an increasing requirement to sort reclaimed materials, both plastic and metallic. X-ray measurements provide a means of discriminating between different materials.

X-ray diffraction

The XCS system has a very high X-ray count rate capability for acquiring X-ray diffraction information in bench top instruments and synchrotrons.

Process control

Materials produced in strip form can be inspected and measured on-line.
