X-ray Waste Sorting
There is an increasing requirement to sort reclaimed materials, both plastic and metallic.
Traditional metal sorting using magnets can only sort between ferrous and non-ferrous metals however using dual energy X-ray measurements provide as a means of discriminating between different materials, sorting can be much more granular e.g. sorting aluminium by 1100, 3003 or 6061 grades.
